In Lithuania and the Baltic States, the most popular type of balcony/terrace door is the door with three opening positions inward, like the GEALAN PVC windows. In this case, you can not only leave the balcony / patio door for ventilation on the micro-ventilation or top opening position, but also fully open and access to the terrace. The outside loppers will help to close the door from the outside, and the snap in the door hinges will capture the door in a closed position and prevent the wind from opening it.
Opposite to the Baltics, in Scandinavia it is most popular when the balcony/terrace doors open outward. Of course, our GEALAN products have an alternative which we could suggest.
We can suggest balcony/terrace doors opening outward standard and strong type:
1. Standard type balcony/terrace doors. Outward opening, usually with a relatively high PVC threshold, but there is also the option to choose the aliuminium threshold. If the door width is not less than 790 mm, then there is the option of putting the brake on the handle. So, you can then lock the door in the opening position. It can also be equipped with keys on both sides, or with a locker inside and with a blind from outside. Most often, customers choose a two-sided handle.
2. Strong type balcony/terrace door. When our Scandinavian customers ask for a balcony/terrace door, we first recommend the strong type of GEALAN balcony door. For a modest higher price, customers get much more durable and stronger GEALAN product.
